Meduri Farms offers dried infused apples in plain and cinnamon varieties, available as wedges, dices, crumbles, and granules. Their soft, chewy texture makes them a versatile ingredient for granola and cereal clusters, trail mixes, snack packs, muffin and bread mixes, crackers, baked goods, toppings, and confectionery products.

Our dried infused apples are available throughout the year and have a recommended shelf life of 12 months when stored in cool, dry conditions between 55–70°F. Their low water activity and extended shelf life can also help simplify storage and inventory planning.

Functionality of Ingredients
Sweeteners
- Cane sugar is the gold standard for all-natural sweetness and functions as a humectant, reduces water activity, locks in the natural colors of the fruits, and delivers a satisfying chewy texture.
- Apple Juice Concentrate provides an all-natural alternative to cane sugar for those applications that aim to deemphasize sugar as an added ingredient.
Acids
- Ascorbic acid is added to light colored fruits to minimize natural browning reactions.
- Citric and/or malic acid can be added to enhance the natural fruit flavor and balance sweetness.
Shelf Life
For best quality, we recommend shipping and storing in a controlled cool and dry environment; ideally between 55-70 degrees Fahrenheit, and use within 12 months. There is no food safety hazard, but color, flavor and texture will all be at their best if used sooner rather than later.
Product Naturalness
Meduri Farms’ dried infused fruits are All Natural and do not contain any added Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) nor do they contain any artificial flavorings, artificial colorings, and/or chemical preservatives.
Meduri Farms’ dried infused fruits are made of natural or organic ingredients and are physically heat treated during the drying process. No novel process or chemical modification is used in the manufacturing of our dried infused fruits.
Coatings
- Sunflower Oil, the industry standard, is used to coat whole dried fruits to prevent clumping and maintain fruit-flowability.
- Bakers Sugar and Rice Flour are the coating agents of choice for dices, crumbles, and granules to prevent clumping and maintain fruit-flowability.
- Cinnamon is blended with bakers sugar and can be added as a coating to compliment fruits such as dried apple slices.
Other Add-Ins
- Glycerin can be added as a humectant when soft fruit texture is desired.
- Natural Flavors can be added to increase impact or add a unique flavor twist like our dried apple dices with pomegranate.
GMO Status
- The granulated sugar used in the infusion process derives from sugar cane, a non-GMO crop.
- This is also supported by Meduri Farms, Inc. finished-product testing for Qualitative GMO-Screening of 35S Pro moter, NOS Terminator, and FMV (Figworth Mosaic Virus).
